One thing I have noticed in our industry over the years is that most artists don’t actually invest in themselves. Yet they always buy new machines, gadgets, etc but all that is external and I’ve never seen anyone succeed with new shiny toys alone.

My personal obsession with self improvement started as soon as I started tattooing in 2012. I never had a tattoo until then but in order to fast track my knowledge I booked in with my favourite artists to learn. A year later I attended my first tattoo workshop. I booked a flight to Venice and drove to Grado to attend Jeff Gogue’s seminar at Alex De Pases studio, since then I have never looked back. I have continued to invest in myself every year since, I have spent around £100k on my art/tattoo education over the last 12 years, Dvd’s, online seminars, group seminars, 121 seminars, oil painting retreats, Tattoo conventions, flying anywhere in the world to learn and get tattooed by my heroes … you name it i'm doing it. In my opinion it’s much better than any college or university course as I can literally put what I have learned into action the next time I tattoo. I have also recouped everything that I have invested.

Personally my philosophy is 'fast track', I want to get to a high level quick so I can enjoy all the benefits for longer and I truly believe with my transparent methods combined with all the knowledge I have accumulated over 12 years I have created something to help others do that even quicker.

- Designing concepts and compositions in procreate

- Selecting a colour palette

Day 2 focuses on:

- Hands on collaboration on a client

- Pigments, hues, intensity, colour mixing and blending on skin

- Techniques, machine & cartridge choice

- Photography/Videography/Social media
